Director Jennifer Geddes Publishes Article Analyzing Antisemitisms
In a recently published article, "Reconsidering antisemitisms," Jewish Studies Director Jennifer Geddes argues that because there are multiple forms of antisemitism, we might more accurately speak of “antisemitisms.” She argues that paying attention to the ways antisemitisms change over time and in response to different historical circumstances, and to their different contexts, media forms, and social and political locations, will better help us to be more effective in working against them in ways that focus on maintaining the safety, dignity, and rights of Jews, whoever and wherever they might be.
