Sophie Bell
PhD Student, Psychology
Sophie is a third year PhD student in Clinical Psychology. She earned a B.A. in Psychology at Duke University. Her research interests surround the identification of biological and cognitive markers of aging and Alzheimer’s disease. In her clinical training, Sophie is completing an externship in the Memory & Adult Neuropsychology Division of the Department of Neurology. Within the field of Jewish Studies, Sophie hopes to integrate her passion for Holocaust remembrance with her intellectual interests in memory and aging, asking questions like “how can individual testimonies of mass atrocities persist in the collective memory of generations who did not directly experience them?”
