My name is Casey Barkan, and I’m a second-year from Virginia Beach, VA. I am double-majoring in Media Studies and Sociology with an intended minor in Social Entrepreneurship, all under the pre-law umbrella. I am an Emerson Fellow with StandWithUs and an Engagement Intern at the Brody Jewish Center Hillel. I also work with Virginia Athletics as a live event production assistant for ESPN and ACCN. I'm passionate about activism through education and I am especially interested in how misleading information or gaps in education directly contribute to antisemitism and antizionism. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy listening to music, going on hikes, and spending time on the beach.
