UVA Jewish Studies Alumni Emily Filler (PhD '17) co-edited Modern Jewish Ethics Since 1970: Writings on Methods, Sources, and Issues (Brandeis University Press) earlier this year with Jonathan Crane and Mira Wasserman. The book puts scholars of different disciplines and religious convictions in conversation with each other across time to examine the plurality of modern, ethical constructs drawn from Jewish texts, ideas, and history.

Filler currently serves as the Wallerstein Assistant Professor of Jewish Studies at Drew University. To learn more about her, visit her bio page on our website.
