On Thursday, September 12, 2024, UVA Jewish Studies hosted the University of Sheffield Professor of Modern German History Benjamin Ziemann to discuss the life and complex legacy of German pastor and concentration camp survivor Martin Niemöller. Professor Ziemann's research on Niemöller comes from his 2024 book, Hitler's Personal Prisoner: The Life of Martin Niemöller (Oxford University Press).
