JSUF Passover Cooking

On April 8, the Jewish Studies Undergraduate Fellows Program hosted an interactive workshop at the UVA Teaching Kitchen where students and faculty made three Passover dishes: orange and olive salad, salmon patties, and matzah toffee. Following instructions and a safety demonstration by the Teaching Kitchen staff, the participants worked as teams at three stations to cook the food, after which they enjoyed eating the dinner. At the end of the workshop, students took home the leftovers; they were particularly happy to have second helpings of the matzah toffee for a later treat!
