Nearly twenty Jewish Studies Undergraduate Fellows gathered for a dinner at the beginning of October with Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy Dean Ian Solomon. In addition to hearing Dean Solomon's personal story, students had the opportunity to ask him questions. When several Undergraduate Fellows inquired about how to choose a career path after graduation, Dean Solomon encouraged the students to seize opportunities as they arise, even when they involve risk. Indeed, from serving as legislative counsel to then-Senator Barack Obama to U.S. executive director for the World Bank Group, he has successfully applied this strategy in his own life.
