Rose Weitzman
My name is Rose Weitzman. I am a 3rd year student with a major in Government and a minor in Public Policy and Leadership. I am from Big Stone Gap, Virginia. After taking an impactful class about the history of Nazi Germany, I was selected to help Professor Manuela Achilles conduct research for her book on Hitler and the Holocaust. Growing up in the South, I often felt isolated being Jewish. This experience led me to seek the community I never had in my hometown. I am confident a Jewish Studies Undergraduate Fellowship will bring me exactly that. I enjoy volunteering with University Democrats and Pancakes for Parkinson’s. In my free time, I like to run, go thrifting, and make dinner for my friends.
