Nadav E. Zadokya
PhD Student, History
Nadav is a PhD student in the Department of History. He graduated magna cum laude from Ben-Gurion University in 2019 with a Bachelor's in History and Politics and Government. He earned a Master’s from UVA in 2021. His research focuses on the relationship between Mantua’s Jewish community and the Gonzaga state during the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. It traces the emergence and development of concepts of Jewish economic utility in official decrees and Jewish petitions to the court, placing them in context with the many changes Jews experienced in Italy during the Catholic Reformation.
