Eliza is a third-year from Washington, D.C. studying Foreign Affairs and Economics. She is deeply involved with the international community at UVA, mentoring ESOL students through the VISAS program and assisting in refugee resettlement with the IRC and Charlottesville Tulips. She is an avid traveler, having completed three study terms abroad in Nairobi, Kenya; Oxford, England; and Barcelona, Spain. In her free time, Eliza competes for the Virginia Triathlon Club, enjoys playing poker and the guitar, and is currently learning Arabic. She is very excited to join the Jewish Studies Fellowship, particularly to learn more about the historical context behind U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East.
