Michelle Kisliuk

Associate Professor of Music Michelle Kisliuk, an affiliated Jewish Studies faculty member, recently won an honorable mention for Outstanding Edited Collection of Essays in Ethnomusicology from The Society for Ethnomusicology. The honorable mention is for her book with Sidra Lawrence Intimate Entanglements in the Ethnography of Performance: Race, Gender, Vulnerability, which holds numerous essays on the musical practice of Africa and the African diaspora.
