This summer, UVA Jewish Studies sent two fellows to study in residence at the University of Southern California's Dornsife Center for Advanced Genocide Research in Los Angeles.

Manin Graduate Alumni Fellow Alexa Luborksy (MFA '25) spent her fellowship collecting research to support her graphic memoir-in-poems collection that investigates the methods of preserving collective memory from the perspective of a third-generation descendant. Visit the USC Dornsife Center website to hear Alexa discuss the research she conducted through the fellowship.

Jewish Studies Undergraduate Fellow and fourth-year student Grace Theriot researched female coming-of-age experiences during the Holocaust, looking at first- and third-person archive sources from and about young women in the Holocaust. Visit the USC Dornsife Center website to hear Grace discuss the research she conducted through the fellowship.
