Peyton Kanstoroom

Hi my name is Peyton Kanstoroom and I am so thrilled to be a part of UVA's Jewish Studies Undergraduate Fellows program. I am a fourth year student majoring in Government and minoring in Jewish Studies. I am from Potomac, Maryland and I have lived there my whole life! This summer I interned with a political non-profit called Power in Place. The company seeks to celebrate elected officials who are women and gender minorities that have risen to positions of political leadership and made positive change in America. I am graduating in December of 2023 and I hope to work on Capitol Hill in left-leaning politics. I didn't come into UVA thinking I was going to minor in Jewish Studies, but after taking a couple courses within the department, I fell in love with learning more about my religion. By joining the JSUF program, I hope to connect with my peers and faculty while engaging in intellectual discussions about various Jewish topics and issues!
