Connor Kenaston

Connor Kenaston is a doctoral candidate at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia. He received his master’s degree in History and a graduate certificate in American Studies from the University of Virginia and his bachelor’s degree in History from Yale University. His dissertation, “Faith Networks: Religion, Media, and Capitalism in Twentieth-Century America,” examines the history of religious media that was created to appeal to a mass market as a way to think about changing notions of liberalism, the public interest, and American religion. His research has been supported by a number of different organizations including the American Historical Association, American Jewish Archive, the American Jewish Historical Society, the American Society of Church History, and the Renate Voris Fellowship Foundation.
