Meet Eli Bardash

Eli Bardash, a second-year student from Falls Church, Virginia, is pursuing a major in Government and a minor in History. At UVA, Eli actively engages in various organizations, including Chabad, University Democrats, the Virginia Review of Politics, and Hoos for Israel. He is enthusiastic about his participation in the Undergraduate Fellows Program, which offers valuable exposure to the realm of Jewish academia. Eli's academic journey has included coursework in Modern Jewish Thought and Modern Jewish History, where he found particular interest in exploring the philosophical and non-rabbinic aspects of Judaism. He aspires to leverage his academic understanding of Judaism to inform better decision-making in government. Eli's passion for politics was ignited by familial influences and the 2016 election. He has actively contributed to three different house delegate campaigns, relishing the opportunity to connect with voters and discern their priorities. In the future, Eli envisions pursuing a master's in public policy and working in Washington, D.C., either within the legislative sphere or alongside its members.

Meet Anna Duboff

Anna Dubnoff is a 4th-year from Philadelphia. She's majoring in English and American Studies and enjoys participating in Mock Trial, reading, and going to concerts. Anna got interested in Jewish Studies after taking classes in German Jewish Culture and History, as well as Hebrew. Her family has German roots, so learning about Jewish history that connects with her background was fascinating. She's excited about joining the Undergraduate Fellows Program to learn more about Jewish history and connect with amazing students and faculty. Currently, Anna works at a law firm in Charlottesville. She would like to follow her dad's path and attend law school, eventually working in a courtroom. Before that, she hopes to teach English abroad and explore more of the world.
