Jewish Studies Graduate Fellows and Faculty Celebrate Interfaith Shabbat
On the evening of Friday, April 17, Jewish Studies Friedman Family Graduate Fellow Shirah Lister hosted an interfaith Shabbat service and dinner for Jewish Studies graduate fellows and faculty members. After leading a variety of traditional songs and prayers, Shirah invited attendees to enjoy a delicious dinner. Everyone especially loved one staple of the Shabbat table: lightly sweet challah bread from a local Charlottesville bakery! Graduate fellows and faculty expressed their thanks for the opportunity to enjoy good food and company in the midst of a busy semester.
